Evan comes from a decade-long academic career exploring the frontiers of Artificial Intelligence, highlights of which include creating AI card-players capable of learning to bluff, and writing the book “Artificial Intelligence and Economic Theory: Skynet in the Market”. Evan has spent the past four years pushing the boundaries of applied Artificial Intelligence for meaningful value in commercial contexts, bringing to bear his extensive understanding of both the strengths and limitations of the field.
Evan prides himself in making AI understandable and exciting to non-technical people, allowing business leaders to realise true value from this exciting emergent technology.
Evan holds a Phd in Engineering from the University of Johannesburg.
